About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Educator or Trainee to join our dynamic team at The Learning Jungle PTY LTD in Werrington NSW 2747. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our thriving childcare centre.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the lead Educator in implementing high-quality educational programs that cater to the individual needs of children
  • Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities
  • Ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for all children
  • Building strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and team meetings

What we're looking for

  • Hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or be willing to study towards this qualification or higher
  • Demonstrated experience working with children in a childcare or outside school hours care setting
  • Strong understanding of child development and the ability to implement developmentally appropriate practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • A valid Working with Children Check or equivalent
  • Current Child Protection Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
  • Valid Australian work rights (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa)
