About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Head Chef to take the lead at Turquoise Café Hillarys, one of our flagship venues overlooking the marina. You'll oversee the kitchen's daily operations, ensuring consistency, creativity, and efficiency while maintaining a positive and motivated team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food and service
• Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion standards across all services
• Manage COGS, wage budgets, and ordering to meet financial targets
• Design and execute seasonal menu updates
• Enforce food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
• Train, develop, and mentor chefs and kitchen staff
• Work closely with the Operations and Front-of-House teams to ensure smooth service and collaboration

About You:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume café or restaurant
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities
• Understanding of cost control, rostering, and inventory management
• Creative and passionate about modern café dining
• Calm under pressure with a "lead by example" attitude
