Quality & Systems Manager

Work. Sunwater is hiring We're looking for an experienced Quality and Systems Manager to play a pivotal role in advancing Sunwater's strategic objectives. This role is responsible for seamlessly integrating our Business (Quality) Management System with other key frameworks - including health and safety, environment, asset management, and information security - to drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance, and enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

As part of this role, you'll lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of a unified Integrated Management System that supports Sunwater's core operations, projects, and business processes. Your work will ensure alignment with legislative requirements while enabling smarter, more agile ways of working.

This is more than a traditional quality assurance role – it's about fostering cross-functional collaboration and making our systems work harder and smarter for the entire organisation.

Other key accountabilities include:

• Conduct maturity assessments and management systems assurance and lead the development of a risk-based assurance plan to evaluate control effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee business performance reporting, including nonconformities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage incident investigations and ensure effective implementation of corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Develop, review, and maintain system procedures and documentation, while providing specialist quality support across Operations, Projects, and Enabling functions.

You'll bring over 10 years of experience in a comparable role, backed by a degree in Business, Quality, or a related discipline - or equivalent practical expertise. A lead auditor certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 is essential, reflecting your deep understanding of integrated management systems and compliance standards. In addition, you will have:

• Effective Communication Skills – Ability to bridge gaps between technical teams and stakeholders, clearly articulating quality standards, risks, and expectations across all levels.
• Strategic Leadership – Lead cross-functional teams, align quality goals with business objectives, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Analytics and Problem-Solving Skills – Prioritise assurance activities based on risk to optimise resource allocation and strengthen organisational performance.
