About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook to join our Mexican kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of traditional and modern Mexican cuisine, works well under pressure, and consistently delivers high-quality dishes. You will play a key role in preparing authentic flavors, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of Mexican dishes, including tacos, salsas, moles, soups, grilled items, and more.
  • Follow traditional cooking techniques while ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
  • Assist with menu development and introduce seasonal or specialty items.
  • Ensure proper preparation, storage, and sanitation of food items.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in accordance with health regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels, minimize waste, and communicate supply needs.
  • Work efficiently during high-volume service times.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and support a positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Chef, Line Cook, or Prep Cook—preferably in a Mexican or Latin-inspired kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to follow recipes or create dishes with consistency.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience making tortillas, salsas, moles, and other scratch-made items.
  • Ability to butcher meats or handle grilling a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an advantage.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time or part-time available
  • Weekends, evenings, and holiday availability may be required
