About the role

Ashgail Rehabilitation Services is seeking a qualified and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our talented team in Melbourne (South Eastern and/or Western Suburbs). This full-time role will see you delivering high-quality speech therapy services to our diverse client base, helping them improve their communication, swallowing, and overall quality of life.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop personalised treatment plans
  • Providing one-on-one therapy sessions to address speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to client care
  • Educating clients, families, and caregivers on speech and language development, disorders, and management strategies
  • Maintaining detailed client records and progress notes by professional and organisational standards
  • Participating in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field
  • Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • Demonstrated experience providing speech therapy services to a diverse range of clients, including children and adults
  • Minimum 1 year of experience providing speech therapy services to diverse clients, including children and adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Proficiency in using speech therapy assessment tools and developing tailored treatment plans
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Clear National Police Check
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
