About the Role
We're looking for a warm, confident, and community-minded person to join our team as a Community Engagement & Business Development Coordinator. You'll represent Support Nest in the community, connecting with Support Coordinators, hospitals, allied health professionals, and other partners to build meaningful relationships and promote our services.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people and wants to work with purpose, whilst building relationships that make a difference. You might come from a business, health, customer, or community background; what matters most is your attitude and approach.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Build and nurture relationships with hospitals, Support Coordinators, discharge planners, and community partners.
- Attend relevant expos, networking events, and meetings to represent Support Nest's services and values.
- Establish referral pathways and maintain a professional presence within health and disability sectors.
Lead Generation & Business Growth
- Identify new opportunities to promote Support Nest's services across Victoria.
- Execute local area marketing and outreach strategies to attract participants.
- Maintain active engagement with prospective enquiries and referring stakeholders.
Sales & Marketing
- Collaborate with the internal and external marketing teams to plan and deliver marketing campaigns.
- Develop presentations, collateral, and pitch materials tailored for health and disability sector stakeholders.
- Track engagement metrics and provide regular reports to management.
Technology & Operations Support
- Use ShiftCare for service coordination, client management, and support documentation.
- Leverage the SameView app to support participant collaboration and transparent communication with families and professionals.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain up-to-date records in CRM systems and internal platforms.
- Support internal teams by providing valuable community and stakeholder insights.
- Contribute to intake processes and help coordinate participant onboarding when needed.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in relationship-building, business development, or community engagement (around 2 years is ideal, but we're open to transferable experience).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident speaking with professionals at all levels.
- Highly organised and self‑driven, with good time management.
- Strong follow‑through; you keep commitments and communicate clearly.
- A genuine desire to work with purpose and represent Support Nest's values.
Desirable
- Exposure to the NDIS, healthcare, or human services sector (not essential).
- Experience working in community outreach, intake, or referral pathways.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and basic marketing tools.
