About the role
The Senior Human Resources Officer contributes to a broad range of human resource activities, including strategic workforce and organisational development activities. This role provides a comprehensive human resources advisory and consultancy service to the WA Museum employees and volunteers.
About you
Our ideal candidate is a versatile and customer-focused Human Resources Generalist, keen to contribute to a close-knit and energetic team. You'll be involved in a broad range of HR functions, with opportunities to develop new skills and grow professionally.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
· Provide contemporary, customer-focused consultancy advice to managers and staff on a range of human resource matters, including recruitment and selection, classification, and establishment.
· Administer the online Learning Management System, ensuring learning modules and programs are current and aligned with the needs of the Museum.
· Manage the Volunteering Management Portal and assist with volunteering compliance checks, including verifying Working with Children Checks.

1. Please describe your experience in delivering broad human resource consultancy and advisory services, including your knowledge using or ability to administer learning management systems or equivalent and develop or maintain e-learning content.
2. Please provide examples of managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes in a team environment, including your ability to plan and manage projects. Additionally, describe how your interpersonal and communication skills support effective collaboration with senior stakeholders and contribute to a customer-focused team culture.

Eligibility to Apply

Pool Recruitment
This Pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
Applicants found suitable in this Pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies with the WA Museum and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) or other cultural institutions for the duration of the Pool.
From 1 July 2025 the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries will be renamed the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport.
