About the Opportunity

We are seeking a capable and hands-on Contracts Specialist to support our active onshore oil and gas projects from our Brisbane office on a short-term contract basis (initial 3–6 months).

This role offers the chance to work on live exploration and drilling activities, providing commercial and contractual support across drilling services, MSAs, and wellsite subcontractors. It's a great opportunity for a mid-level contracts professional with exposure to onshore projects and service company engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support the contract lifecycle for drilling, logistics, and support service scopes

  • Draft, review, and manage subcontractor MSAs and standalone service contracts

  • Coordinate contract input and alignment with drilling and exploration teams

  • Support commercial and legal review of scopes, rates, and contract deviations

  • Participate in tender processes, bid analysis, and contractor onboarding

  • Assist with contract clarifications, claims, variations, and close-outs

  • Maintain organised contract documentation and contribute to reporting requirements



Requirements Ideal Background

  • 4–7 years' experience in contracts & procurement, ideally within oil & gas or resources

  • Strong familiarity with drilling/exploration projects and associated service providers

  • Exposure to onshore contracting frameworks and service company engagement

  • Solid understanding of contract risk, pricing mechanisms, and procurement processes

  • Practical mindset with a willingness to "get stuck in" and work across multiple packages

  • Experience with MSAs, RFQs, contract execution, and claims handling

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce, business, or related discipline preferred
