Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality dishes, maintaining culinary standards, and leading kitchen operations in line with Desi Foods Junction's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes using various methods while ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Develop and plan menus in consultation with management, considering seasonality, customer preferences, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Supervise and instruct kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and final presentation techniques.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
  • Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Manage inventory and supplier orders to maintain adequate stock levels and seamless kitchen operations.
  • Monitor food costing and purchasing to achieve budget targets and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Maintain food storage, stock rotation, and quality control procedures to uphold freshness and safety.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely, ensuring all tools and appliances function optimally.

Qualifications & Experience

  • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, and traditional cooking methods.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
