About the role

As the Superintendent Maintenance, you will lead a team of Maintenance Supervisors and asset management professionals to deliver the Asset Maintenance Plan with excellence. Your role is pivotal in driving efficient asset management strategies that enhance operational performance and maximise returns from our asset portfolio.

Reporting to the Manager Maintenance, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Maintenance Supervisors and asset professionals
  • Define staffing requirements and support recruitment, onboarding, and development planning
  • Oversee the implementation of asset maintenance plans to ensure reliability and availability
  • Oversee utilities assets such as : generation transmission, network, hydrocarbon, water and fire services
  • Support the deployment of asset management objectives aligned with business goals
  • Develop and manage detailed work packages and plans to optimise plant, labour, and equipment utilisation
  • Ensure effective planning, organisation, and execution of maintenance activities
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures
  • Monitor and improve departmental productivity while maintaining safe work practices
  • Manage the maintenance budget and operating plan to minimise costs while achieving performance targets
  • Track and report on key metrics including availability, reliability, and capital efficiency
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities across the operation
  • Provide strategic input to support continuous improvement and operational excellence

  • Budget Management: Experience in developing and managing maintenance budgets and operating plans
  • Staffing and Development: Ability to define staffing needs, assess criteria, and develop team members
  • Collaboration: Proficiency in collaborating closely with other functions to achieve objectives
  • A Current Western Australian 'C' Class Driver's Licence

Where you'll be working

This role will be offered at our West Angelas site on a 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off (9-day fortnight) FIFO roster from Perth. Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly-in fly-out roster from Perth, Broome and Busselton.

West Angelas is a pioneer in autonomous technologies – it was the first site to trial autonomous haul trucks and incorporate autonomous drilling into our operations in 2008, and we continue to have one of the largest mining fleets in the Pilbara.

Our high-grade, low-phosphorous Marra Mamba orebody is an integral part of the Pilbara Blend, contributing both lump and fines products on around four trains each day. At the West Angelas hub there are state-of-the-art power generation and refueling facilities. These facilities supply power and diesel fuel to the East Pilbara mine sites.

The future is bright at West Angelas with ongoing growth projects at Deposits C and D, as well as additional deposits under study providing enormous opportunities for personal development and career growth.
