CBCC was established in 2004 by Coolum Christian Family Church to provide quality education grounded in biblical Christian principles. Today, we serve over 500 students from daycare through Year 12. About the Role

The Head of Inclusion and Wellbeing will lead the College's inclusive education and wellbeing initiatives, supporting students with diverse learning needs, giftedness, social-emotional wellbeing, and resilience. This role combines strategic leadership, pastoral care, and educational expertise to ensure every student is known, valued, and supported.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee Learning Enrichment programs, including RTI frameworks and trauma-informed practices.
  • Manage complex student cases, including disability, behavioural, and social-emotional needs.
  • Coordinate Individual Support Plans (ISP), AARA submissions, and NCCD compliance.
  • Collaborate with allied health professionals, Heads of School, Chaplain, and Careers Advisor to deliver holistic student support.
  • Provide professional development in inclusive education and differentiation.
  • Support gifted and talented students through personalised programs and enrichment opportunities.
  • Engage with families and community initiatives, including parent support groups.
  • Promote a caring, Christ-centred learning environment and celebrate student and staff successes.
  • Oversee the Response To Intervention (RTI) Programs.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Advanced qualifications in Disability Education, Inclusion, Wellbeing, or related fields.
  • A practicing Christian, with proven experience as a Learning Support Teacher.
  • Strong understanding of DSE (Disability Standards for Education) DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) NCCD, ACARA, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Experience supporting diverse cultural demographics and managing child protection matters.
  • Queensland College of Teachers registration and current First Aid certificate.

Desirable

  • Experience in restorative practices and leading RTI approaches.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with allied health professionals and external agencies.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and increasing resources for diverse learners.
  • Ability to integrate a Christian worldview into student and staff support.
