Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Cook to join our dynamic team at Cheesecake Shop Southport. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality cakes and pastry products, ensuring every creation meets our exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knead, mature, cut, mold, mix, and shape dough and pastry goods.
  • Prepare a variety of cake and pastry fillings.
  • Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times.
  • Oversee the entire cake and pastry production process, ensuring efficiency and quality control.
  • Glaze buns and pastries and decorate cakes using cream, icing, and other techniques.
  • Operate baking machines and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct quality control of raw materials and accurately weigh ingredients.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation of ingredients and monitor expiration dates of perishable products.
  • Collaborate with the team to coordinate production and delivery of orders.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any customer queries about our products.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Patisserie.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within a bakery or cheesecake shop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
