From our head office Ferntree Gully depot, our in-house bakery supplies our 70 lunch vans with fresh and delicious pies, sausage rolls, cakes and slices on a daily basis.

As an experienced bakery professional or passionate baker, join our Bakery team on a casual basis. If you have the drive and passion, we have the opportunity for you.

Please note – Due to the variety and volumes of our products, candidates should be aware that working with certain food products, e.g. meats, dairy or gluten-based items is a requirement of this role.


• Shift length 6-8 hours, working 3-5 shifts per week


• Monday to Friday shifts from 4:00am – 1pm


• Adult casual rate (21yo +) $33.16 per hour, reduced rate for younger applicants but all welcome to apply

Role tasks and opportunities

  • Preparation and weighing of ingredients
  • Weighing, mixing, making and sheeting pastry
  • Oven work and baking
  • Sauce preparation for pies
  • Pie and cake assembly
  • Cooking a variety of meats for products
  • Practicing cleanliness and hygiene at all times, HACCP guidelines
  • Some computer work

  • Work in a high temperature environment with commercial stoves and ovens
  • The physical nature of the role requires bending, lifting 10-20kg, twisting, stretching and reaching forward on a frequent basis, with repetitive tasks also requiring the ability to stand in the one place for extended periods of time
