Sydney, New South Wales, Australia News Corp Australia Full time

What's the role?

We're looking for a Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of strategic, high-impact projects across our Publishing Operations portfolio. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role that will see you driving complex programs from concept to completion — managing teams, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring delivery of outcomes that make a real difference.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love collaborating with talented people, and have a knack for turning plans into results, this role is for you.

About the role:

  • This is a 12-month full-time contract opportunity with the possibility of extension.

  • This position can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, or Sydney

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of key business transformation projects.

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Executives, to align and drive outcomes.

  • Chair steering committee meetings and communicate project updates and risks clearly and proactively.

  • Define, track, and report on key milestones, ensuring strong governance and adherence to delivery frameworks.

  • Partner with Finance Business Partners to track and report on project financials.

  • Develop and execute change and communication strategies that support smooth adoption across the business.

  • Drive a high-performance culture through effective goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.

  • Champion resilience and continuous improvement through effective change management.

Who are you?

  • 5+ years' experience delivering business transformation projects in complex, dynamic environments.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results on time and within scope.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders.

  • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to simplify complexity.

  • Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities.

  • Hands-on delivery focus, with a flexible approach to stakeholder needs.

  • Solid understanding of project management principles, tools, and methodologies.

  • Experience with change management and communications as part of project delivery.

  • Certification in PRINCE2, PMP, or similar is highly desirable.

  • A background in business analysis and strong commercial acumen will be highly regarded.
