Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Data and AI Lead
to drive the design and implementation of an enterprise-scale
AI Factory
. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data architecture, machine learning operations (MLOps), and AI platform engineering, with a strong understanding of governance, security, and compliance in enterprise environments. This role is pivotal in establishing the frameworks, technologies, and operational models that will enable scalable, secure, and governed AI delivery across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the
end-to-end design and build
of the AI Factory, covering data, MLOps, and AI lifecycle management. - Develop and implement
architecture blueprints
that integrate data platforms, AI pipelines, and governance frameworks. - Define and manage
AI operating models
, ensuring seamless collaboration between data engineering, security, and GRC functions. - Oversee
technology selection
for data, AI, SOC, and GRC platforms to ensure scalability, performance, and compliance. - Build
secure and automated pipelines
for data ingestion, model training, deployment, and monitoring. - Establish
data governance, model governance, and ethical AI standards
across the AI lifecycle. - Collaborate with
SOC and GRC teams
to embed security, compliance, and monitoring into the AI Factory architecture. - Partner with business and technical stakeholders to
identify, prioritise, and operationalise AI use cases
. - Provide
technical leadership
across teams, ensuring alignment with architectural and design principles. - Drive continuous improvement through
innovation, automation, and best practices
in AI engineering. - Mentor and upskill internal teams to build sustainable AI and data capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in
data architecture, AI/ML platform design, and engineering leadership
, ideally in consulting or enterprise environments. - Proven track record in delivering large-scale
AI or data platform programs
from concept to production. - Strong understanding of
MLOps, DataOps, and AI governance frameworks
. - Expertise across modern data and AI technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, MLflow, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of
security and compliance frameworks
such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, AESCSF, and CPS 234. - Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Data, AI/ML Architect) preferred.

- Deep technical expertise across
data, AI, and cloud ecosystems
. - Ability to bridge technical and business discussions, translating strategy into actionable delivery.
- Demonstrated understanding of
responsible AI principles
