As a respected organisation entering a bold new era of AI and data transformation, we are seeking an AI Governance Lead to help shape and operationalise the frameworks that will underpin the next generation of responsible, value-driven innovation. This is a unique opportunity to take a central role in establishing best-practice governance for AI systems and analytics initiatives that are becoming core to how the business operates. You'll be part of a small, high-impact AI team dedicated to embedding artificial intelligence in a way that enhances efficiency, insight, and customer outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and accountability.

In this standalone position, you'll lead the implementation of a comprehensive AI governance framework across the organisation, ensuring that all AI initiatives are visible, risk-assessed, and effectively managed. You'll coordinate an internal project AI Governance group, facilitate informed decision-making among senior stakeholders, and design clear engagement pathways that make it easier for business units to collaborate with AI teams. The role moves quickly from design to delivery bringing governance principles to life through operational oversight of live AI systems, while building strong partnerships across technology, data, risk, and cyber security. Success will come from balancing innovation with risk discipline, and embedding governance as an enabler rather than a constraint.

We're looking for a commercially astute professional who can bridge the gap between innovation and compliance someone who can say "no" with influence and "yes" with confidence. You might come from a background in corporate governance, consulting, data strategy, or AI delivery, and you'll bring a pragmatic mindset, adaptability, and curiosity to every conversation.
