About the Role

The Application Support, PEGA role is to support a suite of workflow-based applications where you'll work closely with workflow tools: Pega, Kofax Total Agility(KTA), RM8 and with various teams including architecture, development teams, DB teams. You will work in a team of Application Support Specialists within Priority Response to maintain and deliver stable user experience across workflow applications.

The role requires the ability to support application users by providing solutions while supporting production systems. Demonstrated ability to analyse code artifacts that come in a release and get issues addressed by working with Application Architects, Solution Architects, Project/Development teams & various other stakeholders. A good application development and support knowledge is a must in at least one of the workflow tools: Pega, Kofax Total Agility (optional).

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

  • Ability to develop tactical solutions to minimize production outages/issues.
  • Provide IT support to business users through systems problem solving and maintenance.
  • Investigating technical issues related to IT application environments and interfaces. Working with senior members of the team in resolving the issues.
  • Support production environments in 24X7 model.
  • Extremely adaptable and quick to pick up new business concepts within a unique business environment.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders and other cross-functional team members in the implementation of IT solutions and design.
  • Be able to work on complex issues with practical workable approaches/solutions when they are stuck in production incidents.
  • Be hands-on for development/support tactical fixes in production.
  • To strive for continuous improvement of both technical and business knowledge.
  • Ensure all assigned work is delivered within agreed timeframes and quality parameters, in accordance with stakeholder expectations.
  • Build productive and professional relationships with key stakeholders and other cross-functional team members.
  • Provide input to business processes in order to provide commercially sound solutions.
  • Generates innovative solutions to problems and seeks ways to improve business services and processes.
  • Strengthen specific knowledge / skill areas in line with personal and business needs.
  • Understands the strategic objectives of MUFG and how IT Solutions will support the achievement of these.
    Willing to work in roaster/shift model based on the business needs for support and provide weekend and oncall support on a roaster basis.

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Experience supporting large complex application environments in financial services industry especially working in complex applications involving platforms like PEGA, KTA, Azure and AWS.
  • Experience supporting multiple Application Servers like JBoss, WebShpere and Weblogic, RDBMS including Oracle and SQL Server and Web Servers is essential
  • Extensive experience with Pega applications including custom development versus out-of-the-box configuration.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related fields, or the equivalent in software development work experience
  • Additional technical qualifications include hands-on experience in several of the following products or technologies: XML, Soap, Web Services, RESTful (JSON) API, agile development, methodologies, SQL Server DB, Oracle DB.
    Ability to multitask and work under production issues pressure.

Required Skills

  • Solid strong experience in PEGA implementations from development to support with PEGA application debugging skills.
  • Must have PEGA knowledge on Activities, Flows, UIs rules, Harness, Sections, Portals, Local Action, Flow Action, Data Transform, Correspondence, Rule Inspector, property types, validation rules, decision and declarative rules, Pega OOTB integration, Agents, listeners, Access Group, Class Group, Access Roles, Privileges, Setting up SLA, Worklist, Workbasket, Change in Access roles, Page List, Page Group, Value Group & Value list, Rule Availability Concepts.
  • Pega CSSA any version certification preferred. OR Certified for TotalAgility 7.8 Cognitive Capture Essentials.
  • Motivation and readiness to learn KTA knowledge and skills, given an opportunity.
  • Work as part of a high performing team.
  • Knowledge of relational database technologies and data access patterns and frameworks.
  • Must have Experience in both Development and Support environment in Agile and Scrum Methodology and with issue tracking tools JIRA and Service Now.
  • Requirements analysis, conceptual, logical and detailed design skills with good business analysis/redesign skills with architecture and implementation experience
  • Strong skills to effectively interface with stakeholders.
  • High level of problem-solving skills to handle complex software and interface support issues.
  • Well-developed organizational and interpersonal communications skills
  • Able to work with and build strong relationships with MUFG Retirement Solutions offshore teams and / or partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, such as meeting facilitation, presentation and documentation.
  • Have strong collaboration and influencing skills.

Nice to have

KTA knowledge of Transformation Designer, Insight-reporting tool, handling structured forms, ability to debug in Visual Studio, analyse HAR files for performance issues, ability to use Fiddler, good .NET basics and strong object-oriented programming fundamentals.
