Investment Tax Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Investment Tax Specialist with strong understanding of investment structures, tax laws and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, to join a leading financial services client.

The Investment Tax Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the company's investment activities by providing expert tax due diligence, ensuring tax compliance, and assisting with tax-related matters across company's investment vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Due Diligence for Proposed Investments
  • Ongoing Investment Monitoring and Compliance
  • Tax Technical Support

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CA or Masters of Law) is preferred
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in investments tax, tax advisory/compliance, or a related field, preferably within the managed funds, superannuation or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws and regulations, particularly as they relate to investments and managed funds.
  • Solid understanding of investment concepts and structures.
  • Experience reviewing legal documents related to investments.
  • Knowledge of Australian taxation laws applicable to investments;
  • Familiarity with foreign tax laws (eg US, Luxembourg) is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including investment teams, legal counsel, external advisers, and investment managers.
