ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Preservation Material Officer is to typically work as part of a small team performing well defined & Instructed tasks where there is a specific objective and outcome. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the quality preservation guarantee of materials, & preserved materials supplied from the warehouses are fit for purpose at any time.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute a day-to-day maintenance activity, as assigned from end-to-end basis to enable high equipment reliability and plant availability. Update maintenance records, and prepare relevant reports
  • Accountable to perform assigned critical activities as per process safety requirements
  • Drive high standard of personal accountability and performance to deliver the site and department goals and target
  • Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate verbally and/or in writing to operators, employees, supervisors and others regarding the identification of problems with productivity
  • Perform required production quality control check and analysis
  • Perform preventative maintenance and assist in trouble shooting of potential issues
  • Maintain and communicate requirements for tools, consumables and equipment, and maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Contribute to keeping process materials records through the proactive reporting procedure in the day to day operation
  • Commitment to and Promotion of the growth of Safe work cultures within the team and wider business
  • Communication of practical knowledge of industrial safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory requirements:

  • Relevant product knowledge of industry material and handling
  • High Risk Licence in Forklift (up to 16T blade fork)
  • Current Open Driver Licence
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment
  • Ability to take and follow instruction and work on a variety of sites
  • Ability to work autonomously on remote sites using a proactive approach to task resolution and safety
  • Ability to work within Qube's Safety guidelines and systems
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in the Construction or Mechanical trades
  • Rigger and/or Dogger Licence
  • Dangerous goods handling experience and qualifications
  • Knowledge with Material Management programs (e.g. Maximo/SAP)
