About Us:

Kumon is a reputable educational institution dedicated to helping students of all ages excel in Maths and English. We are looking for a motivated Year 10 or Year 11 high school student to join our team of Kumon Assistants with employment from now until December 12, 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact on young learners in their community.

Position Overview:

As a Kumon Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Kumon instructors and helping students improve their math and reading skills. You will work closely with students ages 3 to 18, providing guidance, encouragement, and assistance with Kumon worksheets.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with completing their Kumon worksheets.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to students.
  • Help maintain a quiet and focused learning environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Attend training sessions to learn Kumon teaching methods and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Paid Blue Card/Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one.
  • Strong math and reading skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, responsible, and dependable.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Kumon teaching methods.
  • Passion for helping students succeed.
