Afternoon shift Mechanical Fitter

We currently have an opportunity available for a permanent, trade qualified Fitter to join the Broadwater team on the afternoon shift (approx. hours 3pm – 11pm), role attracts a 15% shift penalty.

We are looking for

  • Trade qualifications (Certificate III and Certificate of Proficiency)
  • Heavy Industrial/Shutdown experience
  • Proven exposure to working on wide range of equipment, pumps, valves, pipelines, motors, gearboxes, boilers and turbines
  • Ability to fabricate small & large components
  • Competent in interpreting drawings
  • Experience with pressure vessels preferred but not essential
  • Machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and constructive manner both verbally and in writing
  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Commitment and good attitude to safety and culture
  • Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share knowledge and expertise

Other desirable licences / tickets

  • Forklift Licence
