About the Role

The Community Access and Employment Programs Manager will lead the growth and development of our group-based social and community participation programs, as well as our employment services program. The role is responsible for ensuring services are contemporary, high quality, financially sustainable, and delivered safely.

While program design activities will be supported by subject matter experts (SMEs), the manager's primary focus will be on program implementation, mentoring and developing staff, and fostering strong engagement in community access and employment services.

We are also looking for someone who will;

·       Provide leadership and direction to the development of our community access and employment service delivery requirements within guidelines and quality standards.

· Champion innovation through program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

·       Drive continuous improvement and facilitate change across services.

·       Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure client voices shape program design.

·       Build strong partnerships with stakeholders

·       Collaborate with other teams to deliver services effectively and seamlessly.

Your skills and experience might include:

·       Extensive leadership experience in disability or employment services.

·       A proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate contemporary services.

·       Success in driving innovation from planning through to delivery.

·       Strong resource management skills and experience working within budgets.

·       Capacity to prioritise and plan work for yourself and others.

·       Demonstrated success in building staff capability through supervision, coaching, and development.

·       Experience managing risk and service delivery issues within the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead service delivery in alignment with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, ensuring culturally safe, trauma-informed, and person-centred practices.

Demonstrated success in workforce development and team leadership

  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and supervising staff to build a high-performing, values-driven workforce, with strong retention and training outcomes.

Commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice

  • Experience in evaluating service delivery, responding to feedback, and driving quality improvements that align with organisational standards and client needs.

Effective stakeholder engagement and partnership building

  • Proven ability to lead collaborative initiatives and form strategic partnerships that enhance service delivery, particularly in employment supports and community inclusion.

Strong communication and ethical leadership

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate transparently, lead with integrity, and foster a workplace culture of respect, fairness, and psychological safety.

High-level risk management and compliance capability

  • Experience in managing incidents, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring audit compliance with WHS and NDIS standards, supported by timely and accurate documentation.
