About the role
We are seeking a Community Support Partner who is committed to ensuring the highest possible standard of in-home care and transportation for our valued clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients with general domestic duties as prescribed in the client's care plan i.e. cleaning, food preparation and cooking of meals
- Support clients to complete shopping activities including accompanying them to the shops, carrying groceries etc.
- Ensuring the client's home is hygienic and a safe environment that supports the promotion of independence
- Driving clients to appointments, Comlink Australia events and an assortment of other destinations whilst maintaining exceptional customer service at all times
- Reading schedules and run sheets, calling clients to confirm pick up and drop off times and locations and liaising with schedulers and office personnel in the event of unforeseen changes or delays
- Recognising and responding to changes in a clients' condition, as well as documenting and communicating this information as required
- Ensuring clients are treated with dignity and respect and supported to exercise choice and independence

- You may be required to use your private vehicle for work purposes, with kilometre-reimbursement offered

What skills and experience do you need to be a CSP?
This position is best suited to someone who:
- Experience performing domestic duties to a high quality
- Is genuinely empathetic with elderly clients and has a passion to work within the community service industry
- Has excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all clients
- Has understanding of and commitment to working within professional boundaries
- Understanding of, and willingness to develop an appreciation of, specialised service delivery within diverse groups, specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, Veterans, Disability, Mental Health, LGBTI+ and Homelessness
