About the Role

We are seeking a Casual Pharmacy Assistant with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for customer care to join our team. This role suits someone with previous retail pharmacy experience, who enjoys connecting with people and takes pride in maintaining a well-presented, engaging front of shop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide friendly, attentive service and helpful advice on over-the-counter and front-of-shop products.
  • Merchandising & Presentation: Assist with product displays, shelf management, ticketing, and seasonal merchandising to create a clean, attractive, and easy-to-navigate store layout.
  • Sales & Point of Sale: Operate the register accurately, handle transactions efficiently, and assist customers with product selection.
  • Pharmacy Support: Work closely with pharmacists to support prescription handling and daily workflow.
  • Stock Control: Receive, unpack, and replenish stock, ensuring accurate stock rotation and inventory checks.
  • General Housekeeping: Maintain a tidy and professional store environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Retail Pharmacy Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmacy or similar retail environment.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: A genuine people-person who can build rapport and create a welcoming experience for every customer.
  • Merchandising Experience: Confident in setting up displays, maintaining store presentation, and managing product layouts.
  • Reliability & Initiative: A proactive team player who takes pride in their work.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate, organised, and careful when handling prescriptions and stock.
  • Excellent Communication: Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.
  • Qualifications: S2/S3 Certificate required; Certificate II (or higher) in Community Pharmacy preferred.
