What you'll deliver with us

As our Storage & Automation Engineer you'll be responsible for the management of Storage infrastructure, ensuring performance, resilience, and data protection. The role also requires solid working knowledge of VMware, Linux/AIX, and backup technologies (Avamar and Networker), along with exposure to automation frameworks such as Ansible or Puppet to drive operational efficiency.

You'll also
 

  • Be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimising enterprise-grade storage environments that support critical business systems.
  • Administer and maintain Storage environment (NetApp, Dell EMC, PowerMax, HPE)
  • Perform LUN provisioning, zoning, replication, and storage tiering.
  • Conduct capacity planning, usage forecasting, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with corporate standards.
  • Develop or maintain automation using Ansible, Puppet, or Python/Bash scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Participate in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps initiatives.
  • Improve operational efficiency through automation of repetitive storage and backup tasks.

About you

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with SAN/NAS technologies, combined with solid working knowledge of VMware, backup systems, and Linux/AIX, Windows environments.

You'll also have exposure to automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or DevOps pipelines.  

You'll also need
 

  • Experience designing, maintaining, and optimising enterprise-grade storage environments.

  • Experience conducting capacity planning, usage forecasting, and performance optimisation.

  • Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or DevOps pipelines.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • The ability to work cross functionally with teams such as Security and Compliance to maintain data protection standards.
