About the MSO
Established in 1906 the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is not only Australia's oldest orchestra, but one of the country's most forward-looking major arts institutions. It currently engages over 2.5 million people through live and recorded broadcasts and performs live to more than 300,000 people annually, in concerts ranging from performances at its home, Hamer Hall at Arts Centre Melbourne, to its annual free concerts at Melbourne's largest outdoor venue, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The MSO presents innovative and engaging programs to audiences of all ages across Victoria through its outreach, education, and community initiatives.
About the role
The MSO is seeking a driven Campaign Marketing Manager to advance the MSO's vision for creating music that matters to all Victorians.

This is an exciting time to be joining the MSO and a fantastic opportunity for a passionate marketing professional. Working closely within a dedicated team, this role will be well suited to a self-starter looking to make a positive contribution to a much-loved cultural icon.
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Significant experience in a marketing campaign/media buying role, combined with tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related field
- Proven experience in delivering multifaceted campaigns, leveraging data to deliver results
- A deep understanding of digital campaign management including remarketing, paid social and programmatic advertising
- Experience managing external agencies
- Experience managing staff
- Proven ability to translate customer insights into successful marketing campaigns and a high degree of creativity to find new, compelling ways to reach and communicate to customers
- Strong digital copywriting, design, content marketing, and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of digital trends, content, and social media
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, multitask and work under pressure to achieve deadlines
- A naturally constructive and collaborative style, with the ability to translate complex or highly technical content in a meaningful and accessible way to a variety of audiences
- Ability to balance attention to detail with broader strategic priorities.
- Experience and/or understanding of the dynamics of working for a performing art or not for profit organisation.
- An appreciation of the arts/classical music
