About the Role:

As a Speech Pathologist within the Acute Allied Health Services team at North Canberra Hospital, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to inpatients with communication, swallowing, and feeding difficulties. This includes working across acute wards and providing outreach services to Clare Holland House.

In this dynamic and supportive environment, you will:

  • Provide evidence-based assessment and intervention for patients with complex needs, including stroke, critical care, general medicine, neonatal feeding, aged and palliative care.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centred care.
  • Contribute to clinical education, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.
  • Support and mentor junior clinicians and students, helping to foster a strong learning culture.
  • This role may include participation in a rotating roster with weekend and on-call shifts, depending on operational requirements.
