About the Company and role:
Promising Potential are working with a Canberra-based allied health business who empower individuals to live independently and enjoy a good quality of life. They are currently recruiting for a Speech Pathologist, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist. They have an exceptional workplace culture and are focused on developing and growing their team.
Core duties of this role include:
As an experienced Speech Pathologist, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist you will provide a comprehensive range of disability services for individuals with complex needs in the community and at the practice. Within this role you will have an opportunity to work within an expanding multidisciplinary team that embraces therapy and interventions that are goal based and use latest evidence. Through your compassionate nature and enjoyment of helping others you will assist clients achieve significant outcomes. Their values are accountability, transparency, compassion and innovation.
The skills you may bring to the role include:
- A high level of professional judgement and knowledge to provide a wide range of speech and language supports to children, adolescents and adults with a variety of needs
- Assess the communication and mealtime management abilities of the client utilising a range of assessment techniques and tools
- Design intervention plans that are holistic, client-centric and outcomes driven
- Provide support and assist clients, carers and families with the implementation of intervention plans and programs
- You will be competent in developing care plans and writing comprehensive reports based on your advanced clinical understanding, application of various clinical assessments and implementation of appropriate interventions to address prioritised needs.
Skills and Experience:
- Genuine compassion, empathy and interest working within the disability sectors
- University qualifications in Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with clients and others;
- Excellent time management and organisation skills;
- Attention to detail and skills in analysis, planning and problem solving;
- A current unrestricted drivers licence
- Experience/understanding of working in the NDIS (highly desirable)
- Commitment to client outcomes and evidence based practice
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment
