Principal House Officer, Obstetrics

Your new role:
As a Principal House Officer in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, you will provide high-quality medical care under the supervision of senior consultants while gaining invaluable experience in a busy and evolving department. In this role, you will:
Deliver inpatient and outpatient care, including rostered shifts in Birth Suite, Acute Gynaecology and Caesarean Section Lists.
Supervise and support junior doctors and medical students within the department.
Manage referrals, admissions and procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and communication.
Actively participate in clinical meetings, audits, and educational activities, and develop your own clinical expertise.
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and committed medical officer who thrives in a team-based environment and is eager to advance their skills in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Completion of a medical degree and current (or eligibility for) registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
At least 12 months' obstetric experience, with the ability to manage a busy birth suite under specialist supervision.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to guide junior colleagues and collaborate effectively.
A patient-centred approach, with integrity, empathy, and a commitment to continuous learning and quality care.
