Your New Role

An attractive opportunity has arisen for a full-time
Patent Assistant
to join our highly successful
Engineering
group in Sydney or Melbourne.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Working with our database and template system (including Inprotech, iManage, Outlook)
  • Data entry
  • Proof reading
  • Creating and amending documents
  • Managing attorney reminders
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks such as organising meetings and managing emails and official correspondence
  • Preparation of invoices
  • Filing of patent applications
  • Working with the IP Australia and IP Office of New Zealand on-line databases
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Your Training and Skills

To be successful in this role it is a requirement that you have:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-confidence, and an ability to exercise your initiative
  • An ability to work in a team and independently
  • A respect for established processes and procedures
  • A solid knowledge of MS Office and ideally Inprotech
