Head of Design – Contemporary RTW Fashion Brand

A globally recognised Contemporary RTW Fashion Brand is seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Head of Design to lead the creative direction and drive the evolution of its design aesthetic. About the Role:

You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end design process across all collections, ensuring brand consistency while pushing creative boundaries. You'll lead and inspire a talented design team, collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping the global fashion narrative of the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design vision and execution across all RTW categories, from concept through to final product.
  • Translate seasonal concepts into cohesive collections that reflect brand DNA, commercial goals, and market trends.
  • Manage and mentor the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Partner closely with Production, Buying, Marketing, and Merchandising to ensure alignment across all channels.
  • Oversee fabric sourcing, print development, and fit processes to ensure quality, innovation, and consistency.
  • Monitor global fashion trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform design direction.

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years' experience in a senior fashion design role, ideally within the premium or contemporary RTW space.
  • A strong design portfolio that demonstrates an elevated aesthetic, trend awareness, and commerciality.
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing creative teams.
  • A global mindset with an understanding of international markets and customer preferences.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance creative vision and business needs.
  • Passionate about contemporary fashion, with a keen eye for detail and an innovative approach to design.
