We're a small, close-knit team who are all passionate about making a difference and we're now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager to lead the delivery of our new Community Housing Capability Program—a strategic initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of Community Housing Organisations (CHOs) across Western Australia.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO and leading a dedicated project team, including an Aboriginal Cultural Specialist, the Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a multi-stream program that includes:
- Growth Readiness Assessments – tailored organisational reviews and recommendations.
- Business Advisory Grants Program – grants of up to $50,000 to support CHOs in areas such as finance, planning, and risk management.
- Learning and Development Resources – a suite of training materials to build sector capability.
You'll manage project governance, stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and ensure cultural integrity and inclusivity are embedded throughout the program.
Key responsibilities include:
· Lead the planning, delivery, and governance of the Community Housing Capability Program, ensuring alignment with objectives, milestones, and contractual obligations.
· Manage and support the project team, fostering an inclusive and values-driven approach.
· Oversee stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, and culturally appropriate reporting.
· Maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to meet deliverables.
· Prepare reports, manage risks, and implement change processes to ensure transparency and alignment across stakeholders.
Selection Criteria
Essential
· Minimum of 3 years' experience in planning and delivering similar grant programs that includes developing grant criteria and processes, funding agreements, assessment, project governance and monitoring and evaluation .
· Demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a team and providing staff guidance/supervision and coaching in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative and person-centred operating environment
· Demonstrated experience in managing collaborative and productive working relationships across a range of stakeholder groups including Government.
· Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and undertaking financial and performance reporting.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder relationships and proactively identify and implement solutions to project issues
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentation experience
Desirable
· Knowledge of relevant government policy, frameworks or funding processes.
· Experience in community housing or homelessness sectors projects or services.
· Awareness, understanding and sensitivity to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures and of the issues affecting these communities, particularly in relation to housing.
Qualifications and Licences
· Project Management qualifications (highly regarded)
· An appropriate current National Police Clearance (please note, may not mean a clear clearance).
· Drivers Licence (desirable).
