We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to support a client based in Sunnybank. This role is best suited to someone who is confident, reliable, and skilled in delivering person-centred care in a respectful and professional manner.

About the Role

You will be supporting an individual with complex physical care needs, requiring a worker who is confident in providing hands-on support and maintaining a safe environment at all times. Duties include:

  • Providing personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming
  • Safe manual handling, including hoist transfers (essential)
  • Assisting with mobility and positioning
  • Medication administration
  • To assist with meal preparation, and light domestic support.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and shift notes
  • To undertake the tasks detailed in the participants' Care Plan while delivering person-centered care with empathy, professionalism, and respect

Job Details:

  • Qualification Requirement: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services.
  • At least 2 years experience in disability support work
  • Experience supporting clients with high needs and complex health conditions.
  • Hoisting and manual handling competency (essential)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Skills : Leadership, Communication, Proactive
  • Expected Hours: 16-24hrs per week, with flexibility and additional hours as needed.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: Full Driving Licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening,  Police Check, First Aid and CPR
  • Work Authorization: Australia (Required)
