We are a full-service family law firm with offices in New South Wales and Victoria and are continuing to grow.
About the roleAs a vital part of our growing national team, you will work closely with our senior solicitors as well as having the opportunity to work with the broader national team.
You will get to demonstrate your family law skills and experience by:
- providing advice and representation to clients in parenting and property matters;
- drafting legal documents including correspondence and court documents;
- appearing at the FCFCOA; and
- appearing at mediation and settlement conferences.
The role is based at Macquarie University Law School, offers flexible work arrangements and operates on a hybrid model.
About youIf you have at least 4 years' experience in family law, a pragmatic approach, and believe that cost should not be a barrier to high-quality legal representation, then Wallumatta Legal might be the firm for you.
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
- a minimum of four years post admission experience.
- experience in providing advice and representing clients across a broad range of family law issues (including property and parenting matters).
- experience in attending court and briefing Counsel.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- well-developed organisation and time management skills.
- strong attention to detail.
- a desire to broaden your network.
- the ability to work both within a team and autonomously, and
- the desire to make a positive impact.
At Wallumatta Legal, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of an exciting and innovative practice, joining a dynamic and supportive national team that is dedicated to making high-quality family law services more accessible.
In return for your expertise and commitment, you'll not only have the chance to help shape the future of the firm as we grow but will also have access to ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities and the chance to work in a hybrid model that supports your work-life balance.
This is a unique opportunity to work for a firm that combines a strong social justice ethos with a commercial approach to delivering legal services. If you share our values and are ready to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
