We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic HSE Advisor to join our team on a casual basis. This role provides essential support to the HSE Leadership and project teams, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices are maintained. You will work closely with site personnel, management, and other key stakeholders to ensure the safe delivery of projects.
The Opportunity
This position offers exposure to diverse projects in construction and heavy industry, hands-on experience in site-based HSE practices, and opportunities to develop your skills in risk management, incident investigation, and safety leadership. You will work closely with management, site personnel, and key stakeholders, contributing to the safe delivery of projects.
The Tasks Ahead:
- Prepare tender documentation for Health and Safety.
- Develop HSE start-up documentation for projects as required
- Assist HSE Lead with project and safety initiatives.
- Update document control records and provide weekly/monthly statistical reports.
- Support site-based HSE Advisors and attend site visits as required.
- Conduct toolbox talks, site inspections, and inductions.
- Liaise with site management to create risk and hazard registers.
- Deliver training on Safety Management Systems and site safety requirements.
About You
You are a proactive and safety-focused professional with experience in construction or heavy industry, including mining resources. You hold relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety and Training & Assessing, and are confident liaising with teams and clients across all levels. You have experience in incident investigation, risk management, and a strong commitment to maintaining a positive safety culture.

Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in construction or similar heavy industry, including mining resources.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40122).
- ICAM Lead Investigation qualification.
- Construction White Card and valid open driver's license.
- Experience with client safety management systems (e.g., RTIO, FMG, BHP) and CRAW workshops.
- Competent understanding of WA workplace health and safety legislation.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
