Fully Remote | Australia-wide | Per-matter engagements
Are you an experienced workplace investigator, HR, legal or investigations professional seeking a meaningful and flexible role in a small, purpose-driven business?
At Riskwise, we partner with government, community, and private sector organisations to deliver high-quality, independent investigations and advisory services across the spectrum of integrity and conduct risk. Our work includes complex and sensitive workplace matters such as bullying, harassment, and inappropriate workplace behaviour, as well as broader issues relating to organisational culture, regulatory compliance, and integrity risk management. We help organisations promote safety, fairness, and accountability, building trust and resilience across the sectors we serve.
We are building a small pool of experienced contractor investigators that we can engage on a per-job basis (defined scopes), paid for hours worked, with potential for ongoing or full-time employment for the right candidate if desired.
Our work is fully remote, with occasional travel for interviews or client meetings. You'll work independently and manage your own caseload while contributing to a values-led team that prioritises communication, trust, and impact.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end investigations into integrity and employee relations matters, ensuring procedural fairness and compliance with relevant policies, legislation, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate and conduct evidence collection, maintain clear documentation, and apply structured analysis to support an ethical, unbiased, and defensible investigative process
- Conduct interviews with complainants, respondents and witnesses from diverse backgrounds
- Analyse complex information and write high-quality reports
- Liaise with clients, maintaining trust and transparency throughout each matter
You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience conducting investigations, preferably in workplace, HR, legal, or regulatory settings
- Excellent written communication and the ability to deliver clear, well-reasoned findings
- Confidence working independently and handling sensitive matters, including cases involving sexual harassment or abuse/neglect of vulnerable people
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, human resources, psychology, investigations, conflict management, business, or a related field.
- Manage billable time effectively and meet client and business expectations
Essential Requirements:
- Current National Police Check
- Working with Children Check (or obtain if the matter requires)
- ABN, Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance
- Suitable remote workspace and own equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel domestically if required
Why Join Riskwise?
- Remote-first business, work from anywhere in Australia
- Flexible hours to suit your schedule
- Travel only when required
- Work with a small, supportive, and mission-driven team
How to Apply:
- Please submit a CV outlining your relevant experience and qualifications, and
- A cover letter (maximum of 2 pages) detailing your suitability for the role, including your experience in conducting investigations, managing complex evidence, and working within legislative and regulatory frameworks.
