BT Personnel Pty Ltd are seeking to fill the above position on behalf of Byrne Trailers Pty Ltd.

Byrne Trailers is looking for a skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team, specialising in the design, development, and maintenance of automated systems, with a particular focus on the Lincoln Robotic Welder.

About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and optimising automated welding systems for efficiency and precision
  • Developing control systems and programming robotic equipment
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining Lincoln robotic welding units
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes
  • Ensuring all automation systems are safe, compliant, and aligned with business needs

About You

We're seeking someone with:

  • Hands-on experience with robotic welding systems (Lincoln preferred)
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience with robotic welding systems is required
  • Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering (or similar)[EP1]
  • A degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred for this position
  • Strong understanding of PLC Programming
  • 1-2 years experience in PLC programming is required
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid Australian work authorisation is required
