We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to be based in Mount Gambier SA to be part of the operations linehaul team to ensure delivery of quality customer service and manage relationships with local, interstate drivers and customers.

Must have:

  • A positive approach to planning your day and problem solving
  • Able to think on your feet, work under pressure and retain a positive attitude
  • A proven background in Road Transport Operations
  • Competent Computer Skills
  • An understanding of Full Load, General and Express Freight
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Road Transport related Rules and Regulations including NHVR, Compliance and Chain of Responsibility
  • On highway driving and forklift experience an advantage, but not essential
  • Excellent Communication Skills - with Drivers, Customers and Suppliers

You will report to the National Operations Manager and will work in conjunction with the operations team.

About the role:

· Ensure that customer service, delivery, quality and financial objectives are achieved

· Undertake and review operational planning activities to meet customer requirements and seasonal volume forecast profiles

· Develop strong, professional working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the business operational effectiveness and to meet strategic objectives

· Participation in new solution/customer implementations projects

Job Type: Permanent based in Mount Gambier.

The city is located on the slopes of Mount Gambier in the south east of the state, about 450 kilometres from Adelaide and just 17 kilometres from the Victorian border and 440 kilometres from Melbourne, it is the most important settlement in the Limestone Coast region and the seat of government for both the City of Mount Gambier and the District Council of Grant.
