Senior Lawyer, Associate or Senior Associate Opportunities

Bridges Lawyers has excellent opportunities for two 4 - 5yr + commercial/commercial litigators to join our team. The work is interesting and diverse and spans our commercial, commercial litigation and insolvency practices.

We welcome expressions of interest from experienced solicitors who have a desire to work across both transactional and litigated matters, or from those who may have a preference to hone their skills in one aspect, be it commercial transactional or commercial litigation work.

Both opportunities represent an ideal next step if you are seeking to progress your career and wish to work in a successful, collegiate and supportive environment that encompasses.

  • general carriage and management of your own files under direct partner supervision;
  • drafting deeds, contracts, court documents and general correspondence;
  • being exposed to complex litigation;
  • supervising and developing junior lawyers;
  • meeting and attending with the partners, clients, counsel, lawyers and other professionals;
  • preparing files for court hearings, attending court and assisting to instruct counsel at court;
  • appearing in Local, State and Federal Courts;
  • assisting generally in the day-to-day management and administration of files.

Tasks noted are conducted with supervision and guidance of senior members of our firm. You will also work with other lawyers within the firm, and junior and senior barristers outside the firm.

The successful candidate will manage priorities as well as a broad range of ongoing activities that support a well-functioning legal environment.

Essential requirements

  • minimum 4 years + post admission
  • sound organisational and file management skills
  • clear and engaging communication skills, written and verbal
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • professional presentation
  • excellent typing skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • flexible, team player approach
