About The Role
We are seeking two qualified Estimators to join our busy Quotes & Tenders Department across both Townsville and Gold Coast locations. This key role will focus on preparing accurate estimates and managing tender processes for construction and maintenance projects ranging from small maintenance jobs to large-scale builds and renovations.

Your primary responsibility will involve preparing and reviewing quotes, tenders, and estimates for diverse construction projects and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimal pricing---spanning project estimation, material management, and client communication. You will collaborate closely with project teams and trade professionals, including carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and site managers, to ensure accurate project handover and successful delivery.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop comprehensive estimating expertise across multiple trade disciplines while contributing to a growing construction and maintenance business. Strong analytical skills, trade knowledge, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review comprehensive quotes, tenders, and estimates for construction and maintenance projects across various trade disciplines
  • Read and interpret architectural plans, technical drawings, and project specifications to develop accurate cost assessments
  • Source materials and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best pricing and maintain quality standards
  • Implement and maintain quoting processes, systems, and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Order and manage materials and supplies coordination with procurement and project delivery teams
  • Collaborate with project teams on handover processes and delivery scheduling to ensure seamless project transitions
  • Ensure all estimates comply with safety regulations and building code requirements
  • Manage client and subcontractor enquiries and maintain professional communication throughout tender processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and department efficiency

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in construction estimating, contract administration, or trade-based construction roles
  • Trade background incarpentry, building, or maintenance(highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications with capability to identify design issues
  • Competence with MS Office Suite and estimating systems/software
  • Strong attention to detail with problem-solving ability and self-directed initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and subcontractor relationship management
  • Team player with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to complete Police Check and obtain Working with Children Blue Card
  • Must be eligible for Australian work authorization at time of commencement
