Location: Dandenong, VIC

Royans Dandenong is seeking a hands-on Workshop Manager to oversee operations, motivate staff, and deliver quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day workshop operations to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Allocate resources effectively and ensure high-quality, on-time results.
  • Promote safety standards and maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure workshop equipment is maintained.
  • Mentor, train and upskill staff, addressing performance issues where required.
  • Foster a positive team culture and actively contribute to leadership initiatives.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues quickly.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Trade qualification in spray painting (preferred), panel beating, body making, boiler making, or diesel mechanics.
  • Strong background working with heavy commercial vehicles.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to set clear goals, coach effectively, and maintain consistent performance.
  • Exceptional communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and positive relationships.
  • Confident using computers and willing to learn our repair system (iBodyshop).
  • A growth mindset and cooperative approach when working with the team.
