We are currently seeking
Patient Services Assistants
to join our Environmental Services Team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care by providing essential support services to clinical staff. Your contribution will be integral to fostering a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Various
Casual or Permanent Part-time positions

The Position:

• Under supervision, responsible for assisting with transporting of patients and equipment.
• Responsible for Distributing meals, Collecting patient trays, Cleaning kitchen and fridge, Distributing menus
• Responsible for safely segregating, collecting, handling, storing, transporting, treating, and disposing of various waste streams, including infectious, pathological, chemical, and pharmaceutical waste
• Strip sanitising beds and remake after discharge of patients. Cleaning, tidying, and sanitising of ward area.
• Delivering and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all hospital areas, including wards and operating theatres.
• Compliance with HACCP, Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control
• Performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including decontamination of beds, wards, and equipment (desirable)
• Checking inventory of oxygen and suction equipment, replacing as necessary after discharge, and checking oxygen cylinders
• Maintaining stock levels in cleaners' room and trolley and reporting on faulty equipment.
• Ensuring equipment used during your shift is cleaned, restocked, and stored correctly.
• Supporting a collaborative and respectful workplace culture.
• Communicating effectively with nursing staff and other stakeholders to help achieve positive clinical outcomes.

You will effectively prioritise work with minimal supervision and the ability to work as part of a team in an environment of change.

In addition, you will have well developed communication and people skills and the ability to interact respectfully with patients in a confident and positive manner.

• Salary: $ to $ , plus 12% superannuation.
• Casual Hourly Rate: $38.49 to $39.86 (includes 25% loading), plus 12% superannuation.
• Casual and Part Time positions available
