The Australian Passivhaus Association (APA) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that aims to lead change by educating, promoting, and supporting the delivery of Certified Passivhaus buildings in Australia. Our members are first movers, ranging from asset owners, contractors, consultants, financiers. They are pushing the limits of design and construction leading the way to a healthier, net zero, brighter future with Passivhaus.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Marketing & Communication Coordinator to join our team at the Australian Passivhaus Association. The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision, take full ownership of marketing activities, and execute them promptly to meet business requirements.
This role is crucial for promoting the principles of Passivhaus, increasing awareness about the Association's work, and enhancing communication with our members. Additionally, it involves supporting commercial business units to drive growth in education course sales, and managing the sale of sponsorships and tickets for the annual THRIVE conference.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote Passivhaus principles, APA offered educational courses and the work of APA under guidance of CEO.
- Create and manage annual marking Calander, marketing campaigns, including online and offline channels, to increase awareness and engagement.
Content Creation:
- Generate engaging and informative content, including blog posts, articles, newsletters, and social media updates.
- Work closely with APA members, committees and subject matter experts to create technical content that educates and informs our audience/members.
Social media & website Management:
- Manage APA's social media accounts to promote upcoming education courses, Major events, news, and educational content.
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments and inquiries.
- Regularly update and maintain the APA website with relevant and current information.
- Ensure the website is user-friendly, informative, and visually appealing.
Event Promotion:
- Create marketing materials and strategies to promote APA events, including conferences, webinars, and workshops, Site tour to maximize attendance and engagement. Develop social media tiles, Video request featuring sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers to promote the event.
Membership Engagement:
- Develop and implement marketing & communication strategies to engage APA members & communicate member benefits and Associations events effectively.
Public Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant like-minded associations/organizations for the strategic promotion of APA events and activities.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing initiatives.
- Use data-driven insights to refine and improve marketing strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being adept at engaging collaboratively and effectively within team environments.
- Experience in operational EDM marketing.
- Experience executing highly successful, creative media marketing campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A proven ability to priorities tasks, meet deadlines, work under pressure.
- Studying or completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in content creation, including blogging, social media, and email marketing.
- Familiarity with website management and content management systems.
- Experience in event promotion and management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in marketing tools, including MailChimp, Canva, Buffer, Squarespace, and Adobe and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of the construction, sustainability, or architecture industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of marketing campaigns and their direct correlation to driving sales and ROI
