Description

The maintenance fitter duties:

  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on machinery and production equipment.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the production team to address equipment issues promptly.
  • Document maintenance activities and ensure accurate record-keeping for compliance purposes.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work within a fixed 4-day roster schedule, supporting a flexible but structured work environment.

Profile

A successful Mechanical Maintenance Fitter should have:

  • Experience as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent (training available for the right candidate)
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within food or manufacturing environments
  • If not, candidates from domestic, residential, or commercial maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply
  • Comfortable working night shifts (9:30 PM - 7:30 AM) on a fixed 4-day weekly roster
