We are seeking someone with industry experience in the Supported Wage System, including pre-assessment knowledge, and who is open to assisting participants in exploring open employment opportunities.

About Us

Barossa Enterprises has been part of the Barossa Community for over 45 years and is the largest employer of People with Disability in regional South Australia, where we support over 300 people in the Barossa, Clare and McLaren Vale regions.

Part of our organisation is a wine packaging and timber production facility, providing packaging solutions to the local wine industry and business including packaging, delabelling, and overstickering as well as timber display boxes, pallets and fruit bins.

Supported Employment supports individuals who are looking to obtain employment in a supportive and inclusive environment. We provide tailored training, hands-on experience, and ongoing workplace support. We ensure that employees can contribute to our operations while being part of a vibrant, community-focused organisation.

About the role

This position is responsible for the delivery and coordination of Supported Employment across the Barossa, Clare, and McLaren Vale regions, where we operate. The role involves providing support services to assist people with disability in their work environment, ensuring they receive the necessary resources needed to succeed.

  • Service Coordination and Delivery

  • Coordinate supported employment opportunities to meet the needs of participants.

  • Develop individualised plans to help participants achieve their employment goals.
  • Monitor progress and provide guidance to ensure individuals feel confident and successful in their roles.

  • Workplace Support and Integration

  • Assist participants in adapting to their work environment.

  • Identify and implement solutions to help overcome barriers.
  • Act as a liaison between participants, staff, families/carers and other stakeholders to maintain successful workplace relationships.

  • Training and Skill Development

  • Provide training to participants to ensure they acquire job-specific and soft skills necessary for their roles.

  • Administration and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with disability employment standards, funding requirements, and workplace laws.

  • Maintain detailed records and case noting.
  • Coordinate and oversee supported wage systems and assessments.

  • Encourage Career Growth

  • Assist participants in exploring pathways to open or career development opportunities.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to participants, helping them set and achieve long-term career goals.
  • The Employment Services Coordinator is expected to present a positive and professional image when engaging with the individuals they support, their family members, advocates, service providers, funding bodies, and the broader community.

The role is set to commence in November 2025.

Skills and Experience required

  • Industry experience in the Supported Wage System, including pre-assessment knowledge, and who is open to assisting participants in exploring open employment opportunities.
  • Able to work with our participants to meet individual goals and able to support complex physical and social needs.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Cert III Individual Support (Disability) equivalent or higher.
  • Must be willing to work overtime on occasion.
  • Appointment to the position is subject to satisfactory NDIS screening.
  • Current Drivers Licence (ability to secure driver accreditation through DPTI).
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience within a production environment (preferred).
  • Ability to workforce plan.
  • Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

  • NDIS Clearance.
  • Cert III Individual Support (Disability) equivalent or higher.
  • Full Drivers Licence, Driver History Check from within the last 12 months AND ability to gain driver accreditation through DPTI.
  • First Aid Certificate including CPR.
