About the role...
Reporting to the GM Finance, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial result reporting.
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, promptly ensuring the completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Assisting senior members of the APG Finance team with the annual budgeting process, supporting strategic growth and profitability targets.
• Conducting regular bank reconciliations and promptly investigating variances.
• Supporting reporting obligations to GPC and ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations (BAS, GST, FBT, etc.).
• Analysing financial performance and providing insights to improve cost control and operational efficiency.
• Assisting and preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
• Participating in special projects, including but not limited to system upgrades, financial modelling, and process improvement initiatives.

About you...

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline & CA/CPA/CIMA qualified.
• 5 years' experience as an accountant or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax obligations.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• High level of attention to detail, analytical thinking and time management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
