About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Manager to join Breakthrough T1D', a leading non-profit dedicated to creating a world without Type 1 Diabetes. As the National Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing a diverse portfolio of events across Australia, including fundraising galas, advocacy and awareness campaigns and educational workshops. This is a full-time role based in our Sydney office, with the possibility of some remote work.

What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement a comprehensive national events strategy to support the organisation's overall objectives
- Plan and deliver high-profile events, including managing budgets, timelines, vendors, volunteers and attendees
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, donors and community partners
- Oversee the marketing and promotion of events to maximise attendance and engagement
- Analyse event data and provide reports to identify areas for improvement and future opportunities.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning
What we're looking for
- Minimum 10 years of experience in event management, preferably within the non-profit or healthcare sectors
- Exceptional project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Proven experience in delivering successful events with exceptional outcomes
- Excellent budget management and financial acumen
- Passion for the non-profit sector and a commitment to Breakthrough T1D's mission and values
