
Social Outcomes and Local Benefits Coordinator

Our client -- A large Queensland Government Department -- is delivering several large infrastructure projects in South East Queensland to enable more services to run more frequently and reliably between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games , and will deliver significant benefits to communities, customers and businesses to the communities. We are seeking a dynamic professional with diverse experience across Economic Development, Stakeholder Engagement and/or Social Procurement to join their infrastructure community engagement team.
This role will report to the Social Benefits lead and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires strong communications, coordination and project management skills to deliver on the below range of key accountabilities.
•
Program and Event Delivery
: You will be key in working with partners to plan and deliver a program of workshops, industry engagement activities and community facing initiatives.
• Coordinating and Facilitating Industry Working Groups
: You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating industry working groups governed by terms of reference and focussed on contributing to set objectives.
• Monitoring & Supporting Sub-Contractor Performance
: You will work directly with the partner's subcontractors on a regular basis to monitor and support the delivery of their social outcomes and local benefits requirements.
• Procurement Assistance and Evaluation:
Assist with the identification of procurement opportunities for local businesses, first nations businesses and social enterprises. Work with the procurement team to invite businesses to tender and assist with the evaluation process of submissions.

Maintaining Social Outcomes Organisation Partnerships:
There is a strong emphasis on delivering a legacy within the community through partnerships with key social outcomes organisations. You will work closely with these businesses and organisations to provide pathways to employment, training and deliver capability uplift.

Keeping Records & Reporting to Government and Stakeholders:
You will manage record keeping of performance on various online platforms and produce regular reporting for government departments and external stakeholders.

Other relevant SOLB tasks:
You work with the Social Benefits Lead to deliver social outcomes and local benefits initiatives as required.
Requirements of the role :
You are a dynamic professional with experience across Economic Development, Stakeholder Engagement and/or Social Procurement who has worked in complex, multi-faceted, external facing environments with demonstrated success.
• Degree in business, social science, communications or similar field, or at least five years' experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of the Queensland Procurement Policy, Queensland Charter for Local Content, Queensland Building and Construction Training Policy and Queensland Indigenous Procurement Policy.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, fostering cooperation, coordination, and communication to support project objectives.
• Experience working with diverse and disadvantaged communities.
• Experience and expertise in planning and delivering events and projects on time and on budget.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively plan, implement, and report on project requirements using Microsoft and Sharepoint suite of tools.
• Demonstrated experience managing the use of online procurement, customer relationship management and performance monitoring platforms.
• Previous experience working in high performing teams to deliver major transport or infrastructure projects.
