Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and refine the menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and local produce.
- Ensure all food safety and health regulations are followed in accordance with industry standards.
- Lead by example and assist with food prep, cooking, plating, and service during peak hours.
- Maintain inventory control and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Support in managing kitchen staff schedules and training new team members.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Passion for food with an eye for detail and a commitment to culinary excellence.
