Day Shift Team Leader

ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company) is looking for a hands-on and self-driven individual to join our Gold Coast branch as a Warehouse Team Leader, guiding our daily warehouse and production operations. You'll lead a team, manage workflow, and help ensure we deliver safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

The hours for this role are 5 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Key Duties:

• Lead and support warehouse staff during daily operations
• Coordinate production schedules, shift handovers and set clear expectations
• Assist with operating cutting and bending machinery for steel bar products
• Ensure safety procedures and quality standards are followed
• Oversee loading, transport, and stock movement
• Report and resolve issues quickly (downtime, quality, or stock)
• Support the training and development of operators in SOPs and safety practices
• Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Maintenance, HR) to support service delivery
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives for safety, efficiency, and quality
• Lead and coordinate daily shift operations to meet production and delivery targets

You're a practical leader with solid experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings. You know how to keep things moving, keep people safe, and deliver results.

You will have:

• 3+ years in a similar warehouse or operations role
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment
• Reinforcing steel industry experience preferred
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety standards and compliance
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable using basic computer systems (Microsoft Office, WMS)
• Confident in managing shift schedules, handovers, and KPI tracking
• A proactive, 'can-do' attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
